Matt Leonard Price – Sleeping Pill Mannequin (2011)
Each new collection of songs pushes in a progressive and subtly altered direction, all the while keeping a strong, song—based structure and content throughout. Sleeping Pill Mannequin is no exception, and Matt Leonard Price displays an increasingly varied and personal style which runs from the more progressive title track, with its gritty Hammond organ work, through the immediately appealing Do You Know Who You Are?, to the melancholy piano ballad The Last Roses, and the quasi—classical/folk overtones and forms of some of the other songs in this collection. If you don't know this artist, then this is definitely a good place to start.

Strange Acquaintance — Heartbeat '83
(The singer/writer and the guitarist of Harrison)
This was the electro-pop duo that founded British indie band Harrison. In fact, some of the early Harrison songs in their live set were re—workings of Strange Acquaintance songs, such as Heartbeat, which was released as a 7" vinyl single in France in 1984 and is virtually impossible to find now! This CD contains the original version of this song, plus many other original songs by Matt Price, vocalist and writer of Harrison. Sourced from studio demos, this is essential for anyone who loves synth-based electro—pop of the early eighties, including a TR—808 drum machine.
